Charges laid in Wetaskiwin car dealership B&E

RCMP Alberta – As a result of an investigation into a break and enter at the Legacy Dodge dealership, a 27-year-old male has been identified as the suspect, and charges have been laid.

On May 17, the RCMP responded to a complaint of an early morning break-in. During the RCMP response, a shot was fired by the RCMP. The suspects were not located and an investigation utilizing the Forensic Identification Section, was launched. Leduc RCMP General Investigation Section has carriage of this investigation.

Evidence has linked Glen Primrose of no fixed address to this crime. Six charges have been laid against Primrose as follows:
  • Break and enter to a business
  • Operation of a motor vehicle while being pursued by police
  • Disguised with intent to commit offence
  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • Fail to comply with a Probation Order (x2)
A warrant for his arrest was issued by the RCMP and he was arrested on May 23 by Calgary Police Service.

Primrose is currently in custody and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court of Alberta in Red Deer on Tuesday, May 29, 2018.

ASIRT has taken carriage of the investigation into the discharge of the officer’s firearm. In relation to that aspect of the incident, no further information will be provided by the RCMP.
