Grande Prairie RCMP Charge Female Following Threat to School

RCMP Alberta - On Monday, May 7, 2018 just before 8:00 AM, RCMP received information that a local resident had posted a threat on a social media site to shoot up her school. The post was viewed internationally and was reported to Grande Prairie RCMP by multiple police agencies in Canada and the United States, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

RCMP quickly located the suspect in the Clairmont area and she was arrested without incident.

Morgan CULLEN (19) of Grande Prairie has been charged with Uttering Threats.

CULLEN was not registered at any school at the time of the incident and did not threaten a specific school. RCMP are confident that there is no risk to the public, or schools, at this time.

CULLEN's first appearance in Grande Prairie Provincial Court is scheduled for Wednesday, July 25, 2018.

RCMP would like to advise that any threats of violence are taken extremely seriously and police will continue to work tirelessly to ensure public safety.
