RCMP Emergency Response Team assists with St. Albert arrest

RCMP Alberta – On Wednesday, May 23, 2018, during the course of an investigation for Uttering Threats, St. Albert RCMP attended a residence in the Deer Ridge neighbourhood of St. Albert, where it was determined for police and public safety that the RCMP Emergency Response Team was required to effect an arrest of the suspect.

Some neighbouring residents were evacuated from their homes as a safety precaution. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and charges of Criminal Harassment and Uttering Threats are pending. The name of the 32-year-old male resident of St. Albert will not be released to protect the other parties involved.

St. Albert Victim Services have been connected to the parties involved in this matter and will be providing free emotional support and referrals as this matter proceeds through the Criminal Justice system.
