Strathcona County RCMP requests public's assistance in sudden death investigation

RCMP Alberta -
Strathcona County RCMP are requesting the public's assistance regarding the death of 34-year-old Myrah (Murray) Whitstone, a trans woman who was connected to the transgender community in Edmonton. Myrah was located deceased near Range Road 213 north of Highway 16 on March 24th, 2018.

The police investigation has identified Myrah's last known whereabouts along 118 Avenue and 83 Street in Edmonton.

On Friday, March 23, 2018 at 12:45 a.m. Myrah was last witnessed interacting with a man in a light coloured Dodge Journey last seen travelling west along 118 Avenue.

The RCMP are requesting the public's assistance in identifying Myrah's last movements between 12:45 a.m. on March 23, 2018 and 8:00 a.m. on March 24, 2018.

Myrah's cause of death remains undetermined. Police are waiting for toxicology results from the Edmonton Medical Examiner's office.

RCMP are releasing an image of Myrah and the vehicle believed to be associated to Myrah.
