RCMP Alberta – Wood Buffalo RCMP and the RCMP’s Major Crime Unit (MCU) are continuing to investigate the death of a Fort McMurray man. An autopsy conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton today has determined that the manner of death was homicide.
The deceased man has been identified as John Bradley Healey, a 36 year old resident of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Next of kin notifications have been completed. Police do not believe this was a random act.
Police are asking anyone who may have knowledge of this incident, or who may have seen or heard anything unusual, to contact the Wood Buffalo RCMP Detachment at 780-788-4040. If anyone has any surveillance footage of any suspicious activity recorded on June 13th, 2018 between 12:00 midnight and 5:40 a.m. they are being asked to share the video footage with police.
