Airdrie Rural RCMP Lay 94 Charges After Locating Suspicious Vehicle

RCMP Alberta - The Airdrie Rural RCMP have formally charged three suspects who were arrested after RCMP responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint along Big Hill Springs Road in Rocky View County.


On Wednesday, June 27 at approximately 8:00 am, Airdrie Rural RCMP responded to a complaint of a suspicious U-Haul van parked along Big Hill Springs Road just west of Range Road 13. The caller believed that the occupants of the vehicle may have been casing out his property. RCMP officers attended and found the three occupants of the U-Haul van making attempts to scrape off the U-Haul decals from the van. Officers could also see numerous break-in tools and pieces of mail strewn about the van. All three occupants of the vehicle were arrested without incident.

A further search of the van yielded numerous break-in tools, firearms, ammunition, drugs, stolen identification, stolen mail, stolen cheques, and equipment that could be used to forge fraudulent documents.

29-year-old Shawn Patrick Corliss, of Calgary, was charged with 94 offences. Corliss was released by the Court on a cash deposit Recognizance to appear on July 26, 2018 in Provincial Court in Airdrie.

23-year-old Hayley Elizabeth McGowan, of Calgary, was charged with 94 offences. McGowan was released by the Court on a Recognizance to appear on July 26, 2018 in Provincial Court in Airdrie.

19-year-old Taylor Leigh Admussen, of Edmonton, was charged with 94 offences. Admussen was released by the Court on a Recognizance to appear on July 26, 2018 in Provincial Court in Airdrie.
