Airdrie RCMP Investigate Afternoon Bank Robbery

RCMP Alberta - Airdrie RCMP are currently investigating a bank robbery that took place earlier this afternoon at the RBC Royal Bank located in the Bayside Community in Airdrie.

On August 21, 2018 at approximately 1:40 pm, Airdrie RCMP were dispatched to a bank robbery that took place at the RBC Royal Bank located at #325 – 800 Yankee Valley Boulevard. A male suspect demanded cash from a bank teller. The suspect was handed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank.

The male suspect is described as:

· Caucasian male in his 30’s

· He had a dark beard and moustache

· He was wearing a yellow and blue ball cap, blue jeans, dark button-up long-sleeved collared shirt, and dark sunglasses



The Airdrie RCMP are appealing to the public for any witnesses that may have seen the suspect leaving the bank or observed any suspicious behaviour or vehicles in the area.
