RCMP Alberta – The RCMP Major Crimes Unit along with Stony Plain RCMP continue to investigate the death of a 31-year-old female of the Paul Band First Nation.
The investigation began yesterday at 7:38 a.m., when Stony Plain RCMP responded to the Paul Band First Nation in relation to a death at a residence. Evidence obtained at the scene led the Major Crimes Unit – North to become engaged in the investigation.
This morning an autopsy was conducted at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton. The autopsy revealed that the manner of death was homicide as a result of a gun shot wound.
The RCMP have determined that this was an isolated, and purposeful incident. There is no indication that the general public is at risk.
Suspects in this homicide were observed to have fled in a black Ford truck, 4-door cab with black 5-spoke split rims, black grill and black tint on all windows. It is believed that the suspects are in the city of Edmonton.
