Banff RCMP investigate break and enter to convenience store

RCMP Alberta – Banff RCMP are investigating a break and enter to the Banff Convenience business situated at 210 Buffalo Street which occurred on the morning of September 4, 2018. Public assistance is being sought in identifying the persons and vehicle involved.

At approximately 4:45 a.m., a man parked a vehicle in front of the business and entered the premise by breaking a glass pane. The suspect wrapped a chain around an automated teller machine and attempted to steal this machine by using the vehicle to pull the chains. While the attempt to remove the machine from the store was unsuccessful, the suspect did cause extensive damage to the building and its contents. The vehicle is described as a dark-coloured full-sized pickup truck.

The Banff RCMP request information from any member of the public who may have observed this incident or who may have seen the truck in the vicinity of Banff Avenue and Buffalo Street.
