St. Paul RCMP charge four after speeding vehicle located

RCMP Alberta – On September 10, 2018, at approximately 1:30 a.m., St. Paul RCMP were conducting traffic enforcement in the County of St. Paul on Highway 29 near Range Road 101 when a vehicle travelling 177 km/hr drove by.

Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle did not stop when emergency lights were activated. A pursuit was not initiated due to safety concerns. A short time later the vehicle with four occupants was located near Range Road 112 and all occupants were arrested.

Further investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen from Edmonton and the license plate was stolen from Cold Lake. A search of the vehicle and suspects was conducted and drugs and a weapon were located.

Taylor Omeasoo (18) of Saddle Lake, Alberta along with three youths ages 13, 15 and 17 who cannot be named as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act were charged.
